About Buckminster's Cat Cafe
Located at 577 Niagara St, Buffalo, NY 14201, Buckminster's Cat Cafe operates as a cafe serving Buffalo in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (716) 436-6000. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 319 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Buffalo and suggests consistent service.
Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Buffalo follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

As a huge cat lover, this was such a fun experience. We went in the afternoon and the cats were so sweet. The space, especially the windows in the cat area truly make the space so fun, organic and welcoming. I got a chai latte which was pretty good as well.

The food was fresh and flavorful. The kitties were friendly and leisurely. I had a nice time bonding with them and my family. Would definitely recommend if you were looking to adopt. My mother is disabled and can’t care for her own pet despite wanting one so she thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

This cafe is adorable! It’s a must see if you are in need of a quick bite to eat, and a drink, all while being able to watch the kittens play! If you have time I definitely recommend booking some time to sit in the cat room and eat/drink in there! It’s well worth it. I ended up having the chaider (chai and apple cider) drink along with a panini and the quinoa salad! They were delicious! The staff is also top notch and very friendly! 10/10 recommend. 🙂

We held a private surprise adult birthday party here and could not have been happier! The communication leading up to the event was great. The facility and atmosphere was amazing. Molly and her team made everything effortless for us and went above and beyond to make the event special, literally catering to our every need. The food was amazing, the drinks delicious, and the custom birthday cake was truly the best I have ever had! And of course... The kitties were the icing on the cake! They take great care of these cats and have such a fabulous purpose. We had a few people in our party with cat allergies, and because they are in kept in a separate but viewable area, they were able to enjoy them without ill effects. They also have so many cute things available for sale, any cat lover (or those looking for gifts for a cat lover) couldn't resist! Everything was purfect! We will absolutely be coming back. Thank you for an amazing experience! Highly recommend.
